Alopecia Areata is an auto-immune condition which causes hair loss on the scalp and body. It effects men, women and children, and currently has no cure. 

Alopecia can be a lifelong condition, and can deeply affect self-image, self-esteem, confidence and even mental health. But there is hope. The Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation believe that through personal support, improved awareness, and ongoing research toward an acceptable treatment, we can help improve the lives of people living with Alopecia Areata and their families.
